Franklin Academy Charter School in Pembroke Pines
Pembroke Pines welcomes Franklin Academy the newest addition to its long line of outstanding educational facilities. Scheduled to open in August of 2011, this 81,000 square foot K-8th grade charter school is situated on a 10 acre parcel of land and is already the talk of the town. Parents hurried to enter their children’s names in the lottery which was scheduled to take place on March 5th. Expectations are high for the newest charted school to come to the area.
The Franklin Academy is a public charter school that is managed privately in cooperation with the City of Pembroke Pines and the Broward County School Board. According to their website, the inspiration for the Franklin Academy is Ben Franklin, a founding father who personified the pursuit of excellence, discovery and creativity. Franklin Academy offers an outstanding and unique educational experience.
